After a bill was passed preventing single men from access to state-funded surrogacy, thousands of protestors marched in support of the LGBTQ+ community all over Israel. I spent the day in Tel Aviv covering the main protests, sprinting after marches along highways, having people translate Hebrew interviews into English and doing such great coverage that I landed on the front page.

Scholars, Palestinian workers and Israeli store owners shared their experiences with Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, and they weren't positive. This article on a controversial issue was shared to Facebook pages with over a million followers and by Twitter users with hundreds of thousands of followers.

My first story at the Jerusalem Post sent me to the Knesset, or Israel's parliament building, to cover a celebration of Israel's 70th year of independence.
