The Amity Foundation helps overcome their drug and alcohol addictions through a long term program that gets people clean and keeps them clean. 

For this story, published in an Inside Tucson Business special edition on non-profits, I got to go to Amity's residential program location and interview people who went through the detoxifying process.

For this story, I got to go in a scissor lift to get an aerial shot of a human pink ribbon, made out of employees and construction workers on Banner Health's new location. This was one way EMCOR and it's affiliated companies helped bring awareness to breast cancer for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Ten years after Karen and Myles Levine were victims of hate crimes on their home, including the detonation of a chlorine bomb, they wrote a book about their experiences.

At the same time European Jews were forced to wear two yellow triangles to form a star, LGBTQIA+ individuals were forced to wear one pink triangle. Both groups found themselves rounded up and sent to concentration camps during the Holocaust. 

This article focuses on a new exhibit in the Tucson Holocaust Museum that pairs contemporary LGBTQIA+ issues with issues the group faced during the time of the Holocaust.

When Terri Coutee was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time, she knew she had to get her breasts removed through a double mastectomy. However, she was lucky her surgeon told her about breast reconstruction options: 23 percent of men and women aren't told.

Coutee founded nonprofit DiepCfoundation.org, unable to accept that statistic.
